Great Expectations

Here is what we have planned (in general) for the 2019 convention:

Our event will run from 10am until 5pm. There is NO EARLY ENTRY for convention members. Jackman’s doors open promptly at 10am.

Jackman’s will be open for shopping! Jackman’s products will need to be paid for at the counter before bringing any items into the event space. (Please don’t bring unpaid merchandise into the con area.)

The convention space is located at the back of the store. There are carts available to bring in your items.

• Opening Ceremonies will be from 10:30am-11am.
• We will be having a swap meet immediately thereafter from 11am-noon.
• We will have both a workshop area and a doll spa area. If you are not participating in a workshop, you are more than welcome to hang out in the doll spa area and socialize.
• It’s OK to take a lunch break! We are not providing a lunch, but there will be snacks available during the course of the day. There are many options for both fast and slow food nearby, plus several places that deliver food.
• Snacks will include tea being served in the afternoon, and perhaps some adult beverages for the 21+ crowd!
• Programming will happen in the afternoon. Stay tuned for workshop information!
• We will pull raffles during the day, starting at Opening Ceremonies.
• The auction will happen at the end of the event as part of closing Ceremonies. We have some exquisite items in this year’s auction, including a gorgeous resin ¼ scale doll!

Jackman’s closes its doors at 5:30. Our event will end promptly at 5:00pm. Unlike previous years when we would be able to host lingering doll enthusiasts, this year we need to be out the door and out of the building before the store’s closing time.
